Our innovative Jump Start treatment works by using 2 different technologies, a YAG Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (“IPL”) treatments to increase collagen for smooth, tighter skin and also reduce red and brown pigments caused by aging and sun exposure.

Our highly rated YAG laser is able to penetrate 2.5 mm below the skin’s surface to reach the dermis and boost collagen production to create smoother, tighter skin and even improves scars. This treatment also deep cleans the skin by vaporizing dirt, dead skin cells, debris, excess oil and destroys acne-causing bacteria to achieve clearer and more youthful looking skin.

IPL can rejuvenation the skin by increasing collagen production as well as correcting multiple types of skin imperfections to create smoother, brighter looking skin.

Once inside your treatment room, you will be given wipes to cleanse your face.
You will then meet with a skincare professional for a brief consultation. Before your treatment, a before treatment picture will be obtained and protective eye goggles will be placed on you.

One of our highly trained healthcare professionals will perform the treatment by first using a hand piece that delivers a pulse of YAG Laser over your face. The laser feels like a tingling sensation on your skin that is noticeable but not painful. The laser hits the dermis 2.5 mm below the skin surface and deep cleans by vaporizing all the impurities from the pores. The laser also stimulates collagen production which helps minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines and destroys acne-causing bacteria.

After the laser, a layer of cooling gel is applied to your face to start the next step, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). The IPL delivers high intensity pulses of broadband light that help reduce redness, even out skin tone, diminish broken capillaries and destroy light-sensitive acne-causing bacteria. You will notice a bright flash of light and a slight warm sensation during this step.

After the treatment, the skin is cleansed again to remove the cooling gel and a skin lotion is offered to soothe and protect the post-treatment skin.

This 2 step treatment steps usually takes less than 40 minutes.

After your first treatment, you may notice cleaner, clearer, brighter, tighter and smoother skin. More dramatic improvements are usually most noticeable after the 4th or 5th treatment session.

Please note that everyone’s skin is unique and results are individual and may vary.

Everyone’s skin needs are unique but most need an initial series of 4-5 treatments for most noticeable results. Ongoing regular maintenance treatments is highly recommended to treat acne, uneven skin tone as well to keep your skin clean, bright, healthy and further reduce lines and wrinkles. Our knowledgeable skincare professionals will work with you to create an ideal treatment plan based on your individual needs.

The spots that are treated will lighten or disappear; however, new spots often appear with age and sun exposure. These too can be removed. Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots.

Here is a list of the contraindications to our Laser and IPL treatments. If you are uncertain about any of the contraindications, please consult with one of our skin care professionals.

Contraindications of Laser and IPL:
• Avoid if Pregnant or pregnancy suspected
• Current Medications (both routine and occasional use)
> Accutane- do not treat if taken in last 6 months
> Gold Therapy- (may cause blue-grey discoloration)
> Blood thinners like Coumadin- (may cause bruising)
• Vitiligo- may cause de-pigmentation
• Oral Herpes- can pretx with acylovir
• Dysplastic nevi or questionable pigmented lesions
• Areas with evidence of skin cancer
• Areas with or close to tattoos/permanent makeup
• Avoid Pacemaker area
• Open wounds
• No self-tanners, spray tans for at least 2-4 wks prior to tx
