How does the DaVinci Teeth Whitening process work?

The teeth whitening process involves 2 key steps. Application of an all-natural plant based whitening gel on your upper and lower teeth.

The use of the DaVinci device that utilizes LED blue light and is positioned over your teeth to speed up the whitening process. A retractor is used to keep the mouth open, and teeth exposed during the entire process.

How white will my teeth get?

After undergoing whitening with the DaVinci Teeth Whitening System, teeth shades will brighten up to 14 shades, with an average improvement of five to eight shades with each 20-minute session. Individual results will depend on your current tooth shade, treatment time, and the composition of your teeth. Your result will be a whiter, healthier smile. Everyone’s teeth respond differently and have their own natural “stop” point for whitening results. We recommend a 60-minute session for optimal results and to remove most layers of staining.

How long do the whitening results last?

This varies from person to person and depends on your diet and lifestyle, but the effects may last for one to three years. Periodic touch-up treatments are recommended for clients who frequently consume products such as coffee, dark soda, red wine or use other products such as tobacco.

How long does the treatment take?

Treatment times are 20 to 60 minutes depending on the discoloration of your teeth. It takes no longer than the time it would for you to have a haircut or a facial -it is that simple!

Will DaVinci Teeth Whitening work on crowns, veneers, fillings and bridges?

Is the treatment safe?

Yes. The treatment involves the use of the DaVinci LED blue laser light device in combination with DaVinci’s proprietary all organic, plant and mineral based whitening gel.

The DaVinci whitening gel formulation is an organic plant- and mineral-based product with built in enamel building qualities. Scientific research has shown that the active ingredients in the DaVinci Teeth Whitening Gels are safe and effective.

The whitening equipment is FDA approved and has been in use since 1999.

The DaVinci Teeth Whitening process does not change or damage the structure of the teeth; it merely lifts and removes the stains, making your teeth whiter.

The DaVinci treatment is a member of the Holistic Dental Association.

Does it hurt?

Most clients experience no pain or sensitivity during or after the treatment. A very small percentage of clients may feel some minor tooth sensitivity, especially if they consume very cold or hot foods or drinks within two hours after the treatment. Therefore it is recommended that clients avoid consuming extremely hot or cold food or beverages for the first two hours following the treatment.

Is the DaVinci Teeth Whitening treatment for everyone?

The DaVinci Teeth Whitening treatment provides dramatic results for anyone who wants to whiten their teeth. This includes people with teeth that have been stained by smoking or by substances such as coffee or tea. It can also lighten teeth stained by tetracycline, speckled by fluoride, or those with a hereditary discoloration of their teeth.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women or clients under 16 years of age should not undergo the DaVinci Teeth Whitening treatment.

How many sessions is recommended?

3 sessions- each one lasting 20-minutes is recommended for best results.

Sessions are done back-to-back in 1 visit to ensure the removal of all penetrated staining and to lighten the dentin layer of the tooth.

The 1st session removes staining from the outer layer of the teeth- VISIBLE RESULTS.

The 2nd session goes deeper into the pores of the enamel to remove more penetrated staining- BETTER RESULTS.

The 3rd session removes more “intrinsic” staining and reaches beneath the enamel once the pores are open- OPTIMAL RESULTS.

What kind of whitening gel is used?

The USA manufactured gel uses only plant and mineral based gels and contains no preservatives. The active ingredient is food grade hydrogen peroxide. The gel has a non-abrasive formula that will not damage existing dental work such as crowns and veneers. The minerals help to re-build and strengthen the enamel. There is little to no sensitivity or side-effects, but if prone to sensitivity, it is minimal and usually only lasts 24 hours or less. The treatment is registered with the FDA.

What is the difference between DaVinci Teeth Whitening and teeth whitening performed in the dental office?

The DaVinci Teeth Whitening System uses the same technology as the dental offices for power whitening and gives you the same great results. However, DaVinci’s teeth whitening gels have been specially developed for the cosmetic industry and are non-abrasive. Designed with the comfort and safety of the client in mind; the treatment is considered safer, gentler, and produces superior results over other teeth whitening options.

How much does the teeth whitening process cost?

Treatments are very affordable. Please call our office to inquire about any special promotions. We offered different prices depending on the number of sessions.

Choose between:

1- 20-minute session – Often 5-8 shades lighter possible with this 1 session.

2-20-minute sessions – Additional 5-8 shades lighter possible.

3- 20-minute sessions – Highly recommended to reach below the enamel and into the dentin- Not only will teeth potentially be another 5 shades lighter but also brighter appearance also possible.

Maintenance sessions are encouraged in 6 -12 month.

Are there any restrictions before the teeth whitening procedure?

Please do not brush your teeth within 4 hours prior to your whitening appointment to reduce the possibility of gum irritation.

Are there any recommendations or restrictions after my teeth whitening treatment?

Drinking water for the next 2 hours will decrease sensitivity.
Inquire about our add-on service to apply a temporary tooth sealant after treatment to avoid any wait time to eat or drink after whitening treatment. Otherwise, the following restrictions will be necessary:

Avoid any other food or beverage for the next 2 hours.
Do not smoke or chew tobacco for at least 2 hours.
Avoid any dark colored food or beverage for at least 24 hours. NO coffee, tea, colored beverages such as cola drinks or energy drinks, red wine, tomato sauce, red meat, dark colored vegetables or anything with heavy color for at least 24 hours.

NEXT 48 hours: Brush teeth very gently with a white toothpaste. DO NOT BRUSH GUMS, avoid using a whitening or baking soda toothpaste.

Any sensitivity is typically gone withing 24 hours. If you are prone to sensitivity, you may choose to purchase a desensitizing gel or take a mild pain reliever.
Purchase a DaVinci home maintenance kit and/or whitening pen to help maintain your results.

Do you recommend a maintenance program ?

We strongly recommend that you have a another DaVinci treatment session every 6 months or at minimum yearly. There is no such as thing as permanently white teeth since eventually the things you eat or drink will gradually stain your teeth.

We also offer a quick and easy home maintenance kit that you can monthly between your DaVinci maintenance sessions.

The kit only costs $59 and includes a mouth tray and case, maintenance gel and shade card.

It whitens your teeth, improves breath, reduces germs and is safe to use if you’ve had dental work such as crowns, veneers or bridges.
